Dispute Resolution Coordinator - Residential Construction

We currently have an opportunity for a highly organised and detail-driven professional to support the management of residential construction disputes across statutory dispute resolution and tribunal processes.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in Construction administration, legal administration, dispute resolution, or tribunal processes who enjoys working in a structured, evidence-driven environment.
You will play a critical role in coordinating documentation, preparing submissions, managing procedural requirements, and supporting dispute resolution outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV)
Prepare, lodge and respond to DBDRV applications
Draft detailed position statements and written responses
Compile and organise supporting evidence including contracts, plans, variations, invoices, expert reports, photographs and correspondence
Coordinate preparation of documentation for conciliation conferences
Liaise with DBDRV assessors and conciliators
Monitor and comply with statutory deadlines and procedural requirements
VCAT Matters
Draft and file tribunal documentation including:
Points of Claim
Points of Defence
Counterclaims
Manage electronic filings through the VCAT portal
Monitor compliance with tribunal directions and procedural orders
Assist with preparation for directions hearings, compulsory conferences and final hearings
Draft settlement correspondence and without prejudice communications
General Dispute Administration
Maintain and update the dispute register across DBDRV and VCAT matters
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Draft formal correspondence and documentation
Prepare settlement agreements and deeds of settlement
About You
You are highly organised, analytical and comfortable managing sensitive matters that require attention to detail and procedural accuracy.
You may come from a background in:
Legal administration
Construction administration
Claims or dispute management
Paralegal or tribunal support roles
Experience working with VCAT or construction disputes will be highly regarded.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously will be key to success in this role.
