We are now seeking an experienced Production Drafting Team Leader to lead and support our production drafting team at our Derrimut office.
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, with one day of WFH flexibility.
The Opportunity
As the Production Drafting Team Leader, you will oversee the production drafting function, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely construction documentation while mentoring and developing a team of draftspersons.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will collaborate closely with internal teams including estimating, construction, and pre-construction to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and support a team of production draftspersons
Review and check drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
Oversee preparation of construction documentation and working drawings
Ensure compliance with NCC, Victorian building regulations and ResCode
Manage drafting workflows and ensure timelines are met
Liaise with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement in drafting processes and documentation quality
About You
Proven experience in production drafting within residential construction, working for a volume builder in Australia
Previous team leadership or senior drafting experience preferred
Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit experience advantageous)
Solid understanding of Victorian building regulations and Australian standards
Ability to manage workloads, deadlines and team performance
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
