Assistant Accountant (Growth-Focused | Multi-Entity Environment)

About the Role

This is not your typical “process and repeat” finance role.

We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant who wants to step beyond transactional work and get exposure to real commercial finance, working across a multi-entity, project-driven environment.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting month-end processes, and working across cost centres, projects, and intercompany structures, all while building the capability to step into a Financial Accountant role over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies

• Manage invoice processing, coding, and data entry within the accounting system

• Conduct general ledger reconciliations and investigate variances

• Support month-end reporting, including preparation of financial data and analysis

• Assist with cost centre allocations across regions and projects

• Manage intercompany transactions and recharges across multiple entities

• Perform ad hoc reconciliations and data checks to ensure integrity across the group

• Maintain strong record-keeping and compliance with internal controls

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar (completed or near completion)

• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role (Assistant Accountant / Finance Officer)

• Solid understanding of reconciliations, journals, and basic accounting principles

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems

• High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
